The Social Work Way was created by practising social worker and Team Manager Matthew Davies after years of seeing how much professional time was being lost to disconnected systems, duplication and growing administrative pressure across safeguarding services.

Why The Social Work Way was created
Practice needed something calmer.
Across safeguarding and social care practice, too much professional time was being lost to systems, duplication and growing administrative pressure.
Recording often meant staying late, moving between disconnected systems or losing valuable time that should have been spent with children, adults, families and carers.
The Social Work Way was created to support calmer workflows, clearer recording and better use of professional time, while keeping professional judgement at the centre.

The idea started from frontline frustration.
Pebble began with a simple question: why were safeguarding professionals still losing so much time to admin when better digital tools could support practice more effectively?
