The Social Work Way was built by Matthew Davies, a practising social worker and Team Manager, after seeing the pressure that recording, admin and disconnected processes can place on practitioners.
It has always been shaped by the reality of frontline work. The visits, the conversations, the decisions, the recording and the need to stay present with children, families and adults who need support.
Practice-led from the start
Built around real social work pressures, not from a distance. The focus is on supporting practice, not adding another layer of admin.
Recording that supports thinking
Clear records matter. The aim is to support professional reasoning, improve clarity and reduce the pressure of writing everything up later.
