Built from practice.
Named for impact.
Pebble was created by practising social worker and Team Manager Matthew Davies after years of seeing how much professional time was being lost to disconnected systems, duplication and growing administrative pressure across safeguarding services.
The name comes from what Matthew used to call his daughter before she was born. It reflects a simple belief: small actions can create wider change.

Why Pebble was created
Practice needed something calmer.
Across safeguarding and social care practice, too much professional time was being lost to systems, duplication and growing administrative pressure.
Recording often meant staying late, moving between disconnected systems or losing valuable time that should have been spent with children, adults, families and carers.
Pebble was created to support calmer workflows, clearer recording and better use of professional time, while keeping professional judgement at the centre.

The idea started from frontline frustration.
Pebble began with a simple question: why were safeguarding professionals still losing so much time to admin when better digital tools could support practice more effectively?
