How the information is held

Each real thing exists once.

A person, a place, a moment is recorded once and used wherever it appears. Update it in one place and it updates everywhere it is shown, so a child's story stays consistent as it grows.

Taking someone off a page never removes them from the child's story. Removing a person from a chapter removes them from that page only. Who they were to that child is a record, and it stays.
